This is not that, no matter what you see on the menu. It's all the same menus that I remember when I first ate a chicken taco or a mush bowl with beef flautas and guacamole. Vegetarian options: I suppose frijoles are technically vegetarian, but when you cook them with lard, per authentic preparation methods, technically I guess they aren't. Parking: Lots of parking, considering they aren't using half the seating room they had 20 years ago Kid-friendliness: Keep em out of the kitchen... or they'll be put to work.

I went... read more They claim to stop taking orders at a certain time, but that’s misleading. I've successfully placed an order just ten minutes before closing in the past. I went to the restaurant to order my food before work. The guy with the afro took my order, and I sat down to wait. After about 15 minutes, I noticed others arriving and picking up their orders, but I thought maybe they had ordered ahead. Another 15 minutes passed, and I saw some people I know who had ordered after me already enjoying their meals. So, I approached the guy to ask about my order, and he casually told me that they hadn’t even started on it because he forgot to pass it along to the kitchen. I requested a refund since I had to get to work, but he told me, “We don’t do refunds, and you should have said something earlier,” as if it was my fault. I asked to speak to the manager, and he replied, “I am the manager.” I requested to talk to the owner or someone higher up, but he said, “They’ll tell you the same thing.” I strongly disagreed, arguing that I had waited 30 minutes for food I had already paid for, while he served everyone else. It felt unfair that he was trying to shift the blame onto me. In the end, after I insisted on my rights as a customer, he finally refunded my money, and I left.
