The food here is solid. As someone who lived in the South for many years, Meat is really good. For starters, their smoked wings are the best I've ever had. Their ribs are so perfect, the meat just falls off the bone. The sausage was a big surprise. Just mouthwatering delicious. When it comes to sides, I recommend the fries, sweet n tangy, slaw, and the creamed corn. There's a sampler platter where you can get 4 meats... View all feedback.
What Animesh Chahal dislikes about Meat BBQ:
Would give 2.5 stars if I could. I ordered 6 smoked wings and full order of loaded nachos. When I got to my room, the nachos did appear to have brisket, and only had 5 wings instead of 6 (5 wings is not a menu item). Worst side of ranch ever tasted.$31 for messed up order. Only thing saving the review were that the flavors was half decent. Won't be back. View all feedback.

Absolutely amazing food. The egg rolls as an appetizer are a must have. Can't go wrong with any entree here. The mac and cheese as a side were okay but the beans were outstanding. I've had the boss log a couple of times, but chose the chicken wings this time around. No regrets. I will do the eating challenge one day!
My son and I very much enjoyed the experience. I haven't seen him eat some many different types of BBQ! I also dug the metal memorabilia everywhere. The owner has great taste in tunes!
This place is fun and located in a really cool area in Lansing. Our waitress was great and I was dumb enough to try their challenge. You have to finish a Boss Log (which is insanely huge) and 2 sides in 45 minutes. I didn't even get close! Ha! The food was really great and the experience is fun. If you split the challenge between 4 or 5 people...there is plenty of food....it's a pretty good deal! Ha! Fun place to eat.
We like that they have quite a variety of sauces to try out, and the brisket and pork tasted great! The coleslaw could be better. Our waitress was very helpful and attentive.

We drove an hour and a half and were not disappointed. Metal meets Meat!! Ambience , if you know who Iron Maiden, Amon Amarth or Testament is, or if you’re excited for Slayer possibly getting back together , then you found your spot. Friendly service , clean location but you probably want to know about the food!! Easily one of the best BBQ joints i have found in Michigan so far! It’s not without faults but let’s get to the good stuff first. Two of the most boring meats in the BBQ game that are often dry and require way too much sauce are , Turkey and Pulled chicken. To my surprise these were fantastic and actually their Smoked Chicken wings were some of the best i have ever had. Winner! Huge, moist, delicious and a delicate bit of smoke so not to overwhelm the meat. I’ll be back for these again soon. Pulled pork, having just come from 2 weeks in the Carolina’s I can say this rivaled most I had tried. Smokey , salty and delicious. Sauces- I’m a bit of a purist and don’t traditionally use sauces but they had a fantastic assortment ranging from a tangy Mop sauce, vinegar mustard to my absolute favorite Spicey Garlic. Think Franks with a kick of garlic. While not a traditional BBQ sauce , i would put that on toast if had some, Fantastic. The one drawback and this was surprising for sure was the brisket. Good bark and clear smoke ring, but it was tough , dry and lacked flavor. It was cut very thick and we chose the flat but brisket should pull apart gently and this was more like burnt end pot roast. We had multiple sides some misses but mostly hits, standouts were the BBQ beans and the Roasted broccoli salad. Delicious. Overall i’m putting this as my number 2 BBQ restaurant, just behind Satchels in Ann Arbor and will 100% be back . Worth the drive!!!
Food was just ok. I'd give it a 6.5/10 The sausage and cream corn were the stand outs to me. Sauces were very good.
Not impressed at all. Service was great. Unfortunately, food was not. I'm a Detroit food snob though and ya just can't top Detroits eateries and food options. My opinion, go to Detroit for good BBQ. Like Sweetwater.
As a North Carolina Native it can be difficult to rate a barbecue place this far north five stars. However, meat BBQ takes the cake. Awesome food.
Everything about this place is awesome. First the staff was friendly and welcoming. I got the pulled pork with fries and spicy cream corn. All the food was fantastic, I was surprised by how much I enjoyed the spicy cream corn. If I am ever back in the area I would definitely return here.

I had the Ruben and it was truly amazing .. I could not wait for the next day for the leftovers ... it is far from your typical Ruben So so good and the blue cheese potato salad ...perfection!

The place has a fun vibe, good music, and I love the metal decor. Ask the waiter for spicy BBQ sauces that aren't on the table.
Fantastic Mac n Cheese with brisket and sausage. Outstanding service at the bar. If you enjoy good barbecue make sure you visit Meat.

We had so much fun here with a group of five of us on a random Saturday. Get there early because it is clearly a popular place (deservedly so). Our food was fantastic... the ribs, brisket, nachos and sausage were amazing. Don't forget to ask about their special sauces cherry Vernors and Asian BBQ were both of our favorites. The sides were great as well... BBQ beans and Mac and Cheese were our favorites, the coleslaw was not worth trying though. Be sure to walk around and check kit the amazing star wars artwork, the walls have so many amazing nuggets to look at. This was a great experience. We can't wait to eat here again.

That's the first time we were in this restaurant. it was a beautiful day, and since it was close to shred, we decided to give him a shot. the whole atmosphere was beautiful, the waitress was very good and very attentive. eating was at best mediocre. the ribs were a bit dry, and the brisket was not as tender as I would have wished. a good experience and back.
Eat. good atmosphere. the server was great and had a good time. many cool things on the walls and on the deck. the owner is a star wars fan and an enthusiastic listener of heavy metal
Great bar-b-que! The meat was as good as most of what I used to eat routinely in Texas. Still need a high-quality tangy-sweet sauce...the behind the counter versions can be used to spice the default version. The sides are more-than-just-good!
A simple meal, but delicious! The fatty brisket plate was great. They have several sauces and each is good, and plenty of Michigan brews on tap. The cornbread, Mac and cheese, and fruit cobbler are all awesome.
This was our first time here, and all in all it was pretty good, but not quite great overall. some things were better than others, but I would be back. about eating itself, it was small. we have a lot of articles, afteros had a lot on, gay had good smoke and bark on it. mac cheese loaded with brisket and speck was pretty good. cornbread was on the dry side. beer selection is okay, but could use a little more. our service was good, but also not exceptionally great. the place was not super busy, but it took a quite long time to welcome us. she forgot my beer twice, but then she brought it. I know that in these times the service industry is thin, so I will take this into account. as already said, overall it was a good place I would try again.
