This fact didn't really have a negative or positive impact on our experience, but it was a surprise. Overall, it was a very good experience with great service, delicious food, and wine. However, I probably wouldn't go back solely because it's in a hotel.

From the moment we arrived, I felt like a VIP with superior attention to detail, a personal touch, and an alternative seating arrangement offered to us due to the noise from happy hour in the bar area. All of the staff we encountered during our dining experience were extremely pleasant, attentive, and professional. Our waiter, Aaron, was exceptional and provided the best service I've seen in a long time. Overall, it was a fantastic experience! Thank you to all involved.

After a long day on the road and only finding fast food options near our Holiday Inn Express hotel, we were thrilled to discover a better dining option within a... read more After a long day on the road and only finding fast food options near our Holiday Inn Express hotel, we were thrilled to discover a better dining option within a short drive. Bordeaux, being quiet on a Sunday, was a pleasant surprise. I opted for the chicken in sage sauce with a side of kale salad, while my husband ordered the pretzel-crusted walleye with truffle potatoes. Both dishes were excellent, as was the service. Although I can't recall our server's name, I wouldn't change a thing and highly recommend this restaurant. My only regret is not booking our night at the Crowne Royal instead of the HIE.
