Was Waldo Considine at Cafe Alingo a mag?
Not a fancy place, but the tartines are great. More of a lunch place, it has indoor seating and an inclosed [by ancient stone walls] patio outside that is pleasant even in winter. My tartine was Iberique [sp?] with aubergine, tomatoes, mozzarella and red peppers.. My wife had a tartine with dried ham [jambon de Bayonne], tomatoes and cheese. Both were great. It's a great lunch place or a spot for light dinner--before... View all feedback.

Here I am, back in St.Paul and how can I suffer alcohol related dehydration without a little grease - my intention was to come for fries and gravy ONLY.

This busy town-centre cafe, bar and restaurant is very popular - and it's easy to see why!Quick service whether for a coffee, a beer, a verre de vin, a quick lunch or a full meal, there is something for everyone here!Pretty good, unpretentious food and a good price ensure that the place is full almost all the time.At street level, this is a good place to 'people-watch' in the centre of this busy town.

Even little open Monday evening in Langon, we were relieved to find this open. I'm a little hard to place. Basically it is a bar restaurant, but the menu is extensive with decisions (and more) that you do not often see. Strangeness expanded to our dog that was not allowed inside, but water was brought without having to ask. So we had to sit outside... not ideal, on a warm but quite windy evening, and cig€16arette smoke from other customers pervading. We had two oeuf cocotte starters, these were good size and contain foie gras... unfortunately we couldn't recognize foie gras tastefully. The main course, I had a whole (and unlicensed) Magret de Canard, one point. It was a big piece of duck, but not the best I ate. Hardly a point and **** around the middle. My partner had the Lamperey she didn't enjoy too much, but it tasted good to me. We had no desserts. We had a few Kirs and coffees, and a bottle of Mousseyron Rose was not expensive at €16. Nevertheless, and only two courses, our bill was €97,80! Far, much too expensive in the environment (the interior is about as basic as it gets), and the kitchen was not up to this standard. Service was friendly and well informed, good English spoken.

Very fast service, good value, no chichi if only 4 stars it is because the decor is a bit basic! Great value plat du jour plus dessert plus coffee at EUR14. In winter there is a heated garden on the back, but of course the terrace is more pleasant in front of the summer. Over 6-7 tables inside
