Waka Sushi Japanese Restaurant

We visited this restaurant for the first time and it will definitely not be our last. Everything was incredibly fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. The staff was attentive and provided excellent service. The prices were very reasonable and the portions were generous. The restaurant was easy to locate and had ample parking. We will definitely be returning to Waka Sushi the next time we are in the Vancouver area. Highly recommend!

We received our order quickly from Skip the Dishes. The sushi rolls were smaller than what we're used to at other restaurants, but the lunch box was a good deal. The tempura was delicious, and we particularly liked the salmon and avocado roll. Unfortunately, they forgot to include the spicy mayo and extra ginger that we requested.

We always have a great time when we visit this restaurant. I ordered the chicken bento box and my dining companion tried the Waka house salad, which he really enjoyed. My son can't get enough of their California rolls and always insists on ordering them. The staff greets you warmly upon arrival and is very attentive. They work quickly to accommodate both dine-in and takeout customers, which shows how popular their food is. I highly recommend this place, and it's conveniently located next to the Cineplex, making it a perfect choice for a meal before or after a movie.

I went there three times! Sashimi and Nigiri was so fresh. Party tray was tasty and good portion. The spicy chirashi donburi was the best I have ever. Highly Recommended!

I've probably eaten sushi nearly once a week for the last 20 years so I'm pretty hard to impress at this point, especially since I usually eat at the better places in downtown Vancouver. So when I say Waka Sushi would wipe the floor with 95% of the Vancouver sushi, I mean it. I'm not snobby, but Langley is not known for sushi. I dropped in for lunch, not expecting much and just going for a bento box. I did a double take on the size of the cuts of sashimi. I've never in my life had cuts this big. Each one was nearly triple the size of what I'd expect. Everything was prepared perfectly (and amazingly quickly) and was so big it had to be brought on an additional tray. The food I saw on other people's tables looked amazing, and if it tasted like it looked, Waka Sushi is hitting way above its price range. This is in the top 5 sub $20 places I've ever been to, if it's like this every time. DISCLAIMER: I did notice some one star reviews for this place so it does seem like your mileage may vary on the day, it was not busy when I was there and the service was perfect. This may or not be the case when you go, so take my review with a grain of salt. I'll have to give it a few more tries.
