Was User at Sushi Mori a mag?
This restaurant is very large for a sushi place. It's in a strip mall across from Willowbrook mall, so you have your choice of parking spots.Upon entering, I was struck by how spacious the restaurant is, with high quality furnishings. The first time we were there, we were with a large group, so we were in a booth with bench seating.Everything we ordered was good, including California roll, salmon and tuna nigiri, veg... What User dislikes about Sushi Mori:
Being that this is only a two minute walk from home I thought I'd give it another chance after my first less than mediocre experience. It was the same. Not terrible but when there are so many choices for sushi (sushi ninja just around the corner is fantastic) why waste the chance to eat sushi somewhere mediocre. Just doesn't make sense. I love the atmosphere which is a plus to their great sushi! 4/5 stars since some items are a little overpriced and we often find ourselves waiting a long
I found this cute little place on-line and was super excited to go there for lunch while I was in the area.
The most beautiful ambiance at this sushi place and best quality sushi in Langley! They really pay attention to the small details.

Food was good, service great ! Fresh and friendly. Cool decor inside, would be good for a large group.
Sushi Mori offers a vast menu with options to suit everyone's tastes. Despite some inconsistent dishes, such as the bulgogi bibimbap and tuna blossom roll, the overall experience was satisfactory for a group of five. While the service quality and freshness of the food may occasionally falter, the pleasant atmosphere typically makes for a great dining experience. Some may encounter issues with service, but the reasonable prices, fresh tuna, and enticing menu make Sushi Mori worth a try. The decor is beautiful, and portions are generous. Overall, it may not be flawless, but it's a solid choice for sushi in Surrey.

Best Sushi Restaurant in Langley. Delicious sushi, excellent quick service, good quantity, and good setting of ambiance. I recommend that Sushi restaurant.Parking: Excellent location in Langley
Tried the bulgogi bibimbap and the tuna blossom roll. I would not recommend either. The bibimbap tasted alright, but there was very little beef, just a whole lot of rice. The roll tasted a bit fishy. Something in the roll wasn't that fresh, most likely the crab.
Recently dined at this sushi spot, drawn in by its cool ambiance. The service was attentive, with the waitress frequently checking in. However, while the sushi was presented beautifully, it lacked the flavor I was hoping for.The setting and service were commendable, but the food sadly missed the mark for me
Always loved this place but not anymore. Ordered take out today and the sushi were not good, wait was so long. I would recommend this location anymore, other locations are much better.
Absolutely love this place! Their indoor atmosphere is amazing, food is very solid, and their service is unbeatable. Definitely my go-to sushi spot!

I was in the neighborhood and craving sushi, so I decided to try out this place that was recommended by my sister and her husband. We ordered a variety of sushi rolls and dishes to go, including miso soup, creamy shrimp, agedashi tofu, spicy sunflower roll, spicy tuna crunch roll, salmon oshi aburi, inari, dynamite roll, cali roll, and salmon sashimi. The standard items were good, but the standout dish was the salmon oshi aburi. The salmon was fresh and perfectly torched, with a nice crunch and heat from the jalapeño, and balanced with the signature sauce on top. The spicy sunflower roll and agedashi tofu were also delicious, with fresh flavors and well-seasoned ingredients. I appreciated that the sauce for the agedashi tofu was served on the side to keep the tofu crunchy. However, the spicy tuna crunch roll was a disappointment, as the tempura crunch was just toasted panko on top and the roll lacked flavor. The creamy shrimp dish was also a bit odd, with a whole tail-on shrimp inside a gyoza. Despite these misses, I enjoyed the fresh taste of the food and would definitely return for the oshi aburi and to try other items on the menu.
I have been a customer at this restaurant for several years now. The service has always been friendly but extremely slow. The sushi has consistently been good, though not outstanding given the price point. However, my recent experience was disappointing. The Toro served to me was clearly past its prime, the Hamachi had an unusual flavor, and the Maguro was dry and falling apart. As someone who has eaten sushi all over the world, I know my sushi. When I raised my concerns to the waiter, I was met with argument. The manager refused to speak to me and they even tried to charge me for the subpar sushi. This experience was unacceptable, and we will not be returning. There are plenty of sushi restaurants in the area to choose from. I recommend trying something else.
We usually love Sushi Mori. It typically has great service to match the lovely ambiance. However. Tonight we arrived and within the first two minutes of us sitting, we had multiple servers come over to ask us if we were ready to order and they seemed annoyed that we needed a minute to look at the menu. We ordered green tea and she brought a carafe to the table. It tasted as though the carafe had not been cleaned in quite some time. Once we ordered, our food came out reasonably quickly. However, upon trying the spicy salmon roll, it was apparent that it was not very fresh evident by both taste and smell. The crunchy California roll had a strange after taste as well. We decided that we wouldn't finish the meal and trying to find a server to bring the bill took far longer than expected. When they asked how everything was, my husband let them know that it did not taste fresh and that we did not want the food. There were no attempts to remedy the situation on the behalf of restaurant. All in all, not a good experience at one of our go to sushi places. We'll likely consider a different restaurant before returning here.
Tasty food, friendly and quick service and beautiful interior with sakura trees, wood seating and lanterns.
Sushi could have been better if there was less rice added to the rolls like the salmon oshi.

Party of 5, seated fairly quickly. The decor is beautiful! The menu is a bit on the pricey side but the quality and taste make up for it. Portions are very decent and we def ordered way too much food. Service was friendly and efficient. Will defo be back!
Great time here last week. Went to get a wuich lunch and got a beef teriyaki don, prawn tempura and gyoza. The gyoza and lrawn tempura is a great pick. Gyoza had a crispy wrapping eith decent filling. The tempura was also crispy with tender shrimp. Beef terriyaki comes in a stone bowl which is kind of like a hot plate and keeps the dish hot till the last bite. Really liked this dish. Careful not to burn your tongue tho.
Great customer service and food is always fresh. We prefer eating in here, but tonight we got take out. Tempura was nice and crispy when we got home and deep fried roll was also still crispy. California dynamite rolls were dry. Tuna avo roll had a good amount of tuna. Chicken teriyaki was on a bed of cabbage, not rice in case this matters to you. Gomae was very good, Sunomono was good as well. Deep fried roll was incredible and the rolls that have California inside with various sauces are good the sauces make up for the slightly drier Cali mix. The prices here are about average to other sushi places nearby. The deep fried cali roll is $6.25 (as of Dec 31 2021) where other places are $7 10, so I'll for sure be back for that single reason alone.
This place is a gem.I don’t know why we haven’t been here before.Best place for date.Beautiful interior(plz refer the pics) fusion Japanese food.Lovely food presentation.Food tastes awesome.Mr n my husband had a great time here.
Sushi Mori has been my go to when I’m craving sushi or need the perfect place to take my date. The décor is amazing with a great atmosphere. The location is great with enough parking and close to the mall and transit. The Staff at sushi mori are great and always there to assist and serve you better. Been coming here for yrs now and never disappointed by them. The sushi is always great, if you’re vegan they have something catered for you, their nigiri/sashimi is always fresh and they have a large selection of different sushi and more. Will always recommend sushi mori.
