Was User at Cafe Planet Java a mag?
Stopped in for an old fashioned milkshake after dinner and we were not disappointed. Thick, creamy and HUGE! The shakes were enough to fill the old fashioned glass 3 times! And the decor is a very cool throwback to the 50s. Definitely worth the visit. Saw some reviews about it being dirty but that wasn't the case when we were there. We'll be back! View all feedback.
What User dislikes about Cafe Planet Java:
Awful service, bad attitude, very poor hygiene. No fifties feel at all. Jukeboxes don't work, difficulty communicating. I ordered the wrong soup for a family member and was told I would have to pay for the other one, even though the first bowl went straight back to the kitchen. I then had to wait to get that one back again. They even charge 50c for a coffee refill! View all feedback.

Love this place because it is full of memorabilia from the and I lived in Fort Langley during the My turkey sandwich on a croissant came with a nice little side salad, and at was god value for money. They also do...ice cream and milkshakes. And the next afternoon when I came in for just a coffee, I got a bottomless cup for and they let me sie there as long as I wanted, even though it was very busy.
There are other places nearby for ice cream rather than here as there is not a large selection. Ice cream is not their main food item. Not sure how good the food is as ice cream was all we wanted. I see good reviews on their 50s style food. I looked them up online, but I think those photos were taken quite some time ago. The 50s decor is cute.
We ordered at the counter and paid for our food first. Upon sitting at the table we started looking around at our surroundings and OMG the place has so much built up dirt everywhere. I was afraid to touch the salt and pepper shakers they were so filthy. Our food arrived and surprisingly it wasn't too bad. I just cringe to think that the kitchen might be as dirty as the front of the cafe. I would not come back unless there was a visible effort to do a deep clean.
We needed a meal had never been here. As compared to other places we had been for eats, this was delicious!
Ok burgers and friesI do like the decorations and various memorabiliaI can't say too much about the foodIt was ok.
Despite mixed reviews, this nostalgic 50s-style diner in Fort Langley offers a unique experience with its vintage decor. While some diners praise the delicious milkshakes and reasonable prices, others caution about the greasy food and poor service. The promise of a Supernatural filming location adds to the charm, but recent cleanliness issues have been noted. Overall, it seems the main draw is the ambiance rather than the food quality. For a taste of the past and a satisfying milkshake, this diner is worth a visit, but manage your expectations around food and service.

These are hands down the best burgers in the Lower Mainland—feel free to challenge me on that! The service can be a bit slow since it’s run by just two or three people, but be patient; it’s absolutely worth it. This place is a constant craving for me. You can enjoy your meal either inside or outside on the front or side street, or even at the park next door. Where's John Catucci? Because you absolutely have to eat here!
The food itself was mediocre at best and certainly not worth the cost. Overall, it could be much better, but unfortunately, it disappointed in every aspect, and the initial "cool" factor quickly faded. The decor felt more "retro" than genuinely interesting, with only a few worn gimmicky art pieces and a statue that is supposed to be Elvis but doesn't resemble him. We will not be returning.
This place is soooo cute! It was like we time traveled to the 50s!! The decor is well thought and their milkshakes were really delicious. The prices were really cheap too. I highly recommend visiting them.
We tried the Elvis Burger, I think the burger patties cooked in the airfryer which made the appearance a weird grey color, it’s not that appetizing as we considering the original burger patties should be a golden brownish color and crispy outside and juicy inside. You have to add your own salt, they don’t even give mayo as a burger place, I understand the retro theme but come on people are paying for that burgers. The only thing good was fries. Don’t let yourself to be fooled by the fancy looking theme of the place, it’s not gonna worth your money.
We decided to stop for lunch on a whim, and I'm so glad we did! The service was quick and friendly, and the French fries were perfectly crispy. The menu items are attractively priced, which is a nice surprise for the trendy main street of Fort Langley. We're looking forward to returning to try more dishes!
