I recently had the pleasure of dining at Mt. Fuji, and it was an outstanding experience that truly deserves a five-star rating. From the moment I walked in, the warm and welcoming atmosphere set the tone for a lovely evening. The highlight of the night was definitely the Sumo Roll, which was nothing short of a culinary masterpiece. The fresh, melt-in-your-mouth sashimi combined with perfectly seasoned rice and a harmonious blend of flavors made every bite a delightful explosion of taste. The presentation and attention to detail were impressive, showcasing the chef's commitment to their craft. In addition to the Sumo Roll, the extensive menu featured a variety of delicious options, catering to every taste. The friendly and attentive staff further enhanced the overall experience. Whether you’re a sushi enthusiast or simply in search of an exceptional dining outing, Mt. Fuji in Newtown is a true gem that I wholeheartedly recommend.

Terrible experience. I had a glass of wine at the bar and placed a take-out order for my family. I requested a small side of ginger dressing, but instead received a pint. To top it off, the spring roll I ordered was missing from the bag, and we ended up waiting over 35 minutes for our food. If we had been dining at a table, we would have likely left. And let me point out, I was one of only two customers in the entire restaurant at the time. We've always enjoyed this place over the years, but lately, it feels like they're just getting to us whenever they feel like it. The food is still good—if you actually get what you ordered.

Food was good, very mid but okay. Customer service terrible, this is my first time ever writing a review and its a shame the customer service was so bad that it pushed me to do it. The waitresses are so rude, made everything seem like a inconvenience for them, even while taking our order! The cooks who cook in-front of you don't talk or smile or joke or give the entertaining hibachi grill experience(it honestly looked like he just hated to be there which made it very uncomfortable for my family and I). It was just so bad and I work in food service swell and have never seen the employees so impolite and ill-mannered. Everything would've been so much better if it didn't seem like the employees hated us.

The food was great the chef was cool the waitress was very unprofessional we paid $128 tipped $16 there was 4 of us but it was for my girlfriend birthday so 3 of us really naturally I paid for us both the waitress comes over to the table and ask “is my service bad or something because you did not tip enough? This is unacceptable and u should have sat at a regular table “ then puts the receipt back on the table with a pen. Super disrespectful embarrassing because hibachi is multiple groups there and a tip is OPTIONAL! Never seen a waiter or waitress so unprofessional to the point where I don’t want to comeback that’s not how u present that and put a sign up if people have to “tip “ a certain amountSorry for the great waiter’s waitress that actually goes above and beyond checking on people but she’s not and wasn’t one of them and handled this poorly on a very special night for my girlfriend
