Food of a caliber that most home chefs could outdo with a trip to Lidl. Music is generic.

The venue, the function room, table... read more Would just like to thank all the staff for their help yesterday making my husband's 70th celebration meal a perfect success. The venue, the function room, table all beautifully laid out. Our prebooked meals all served promptly and hot . You were so accommodating and things couldn't have been better. Thanks to everyone involved. Will highly recommend Tge Eskdale Hotel.

Stayed here for 1 night on the way up to the west coast of Scotland. We arrived a bit late at 19:40 and was asked if we wanted a meal as the kitchen was closing... read more Stayed here for 1 night on the way up to the west coast of Scotland. We arrived a bit late at 19:40 and was asked if we wanted a meal as the kitchen was closing at 8 which I thought was a nice touch the food we ordered wasn't the best as the mash potato was a bit hard and so were the vegetables, but as the kitchen was closing it was probably food cooked through out the day. The staff here are very friendly the room was very nice and had all the little extras, shower was really good and the beds were very comfortable only problem I noticed was cobwebs in the bathroom which should have been noticed and cleaned. We had a room facing the road which can get noisy at times but wasn't a massive problem, if your a light sleeper maybe book a room away from the road. The breakfast was really nice overall the hotel is really good and would definitely stay here again if travelling in and around Scotland. Rooms: 4 Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Quiet
