What Nathan Bayer doesn't like about Akemi Sushi:
We decided to give this restaurant a try after struggling to find great sushi in Langford. The restaurant is enormous, feels very desolate. We were seated on the covered patio, with dark plastic covers on the tables which didn’t look very nice. We ordered salmon...rolls, negitoro rolls and toro. None of the rolls looked “tight” and all were falling apart when trying to eat, and not tasting particularly fresh or well... View all feedback. What Christian Veum likes about Akemi Sushi:
If toro is available order it. Delicious. The simple tuna avocado roll is excellent. The Hawaiian tuna is terrible. It was not fresh and was watery. Should have never been served. The prices are too high. The sashimi slices are too thin. The spinach is good. View all feedback.

read moreAkemi, located in Langford, may disappoint sushi enthusiasts seeking a top-notch experience. While some diners found the sushi good and the service friendly, others were let down by inconsistent food quality and efficiency. Despite a luxurious atmosphere and excellent menu choices, some dishes fell short of expectations. The Chicken Katsu sauce, for example, divided opinions. Those looking for a unique dining experience with well-prepared Japanese-inspired cuisine may enjoy Akemi, but patrons should be prepared for a potentially long wait and higher prices. Ultimately, Akemi may not be the perfect spot for everyone, but it has its strengths for those looking for a relaxed dining experience.
