But we were less satisfie... read more We were in the Harz Stuben a few days ago and have eaten asparagus with scavengers. The service was very friendly, attentive and fast. But we were less satisfied with the food. The carvings were very delicious, but the asparagus had as good as no taste and was too strong. The Sauce Hollandaise and the roast potatoes were, according to our impression, convenience products. It could be overlooked if localities were more attractive and prices were lower. Unfortunately, this is only enough for three stars.

Fantastic interior, you feel lik... read more We stumbled upon the Harzer Stuben by chance because we'd read nothing but good things about it. Luckily, we had a reservation. Fantastic interior, you feel like you're at Grandma's by the fireplace. It's simply cozy on a corner bench under the antlers. The two young servers were quick and super friendly. The food was fresh, well-prepared, no processed foods, and truly delicious. We had the Harzer schnitzel and the lumberjack schnitzel with fried potatoes. Our friends had the schnitzel pan and cordon bleu. Everything was delicious, the pork schnitzel super tender and deliciously breaded. The salads were also delicious. I would have gone for a bit more fried potatoes, but all the portions were very good. The ice cream for dessert was okay. We'll definitely be happy to come back in the summer for some good, home-cooked food.
