The food was quite disappointing, with a lack of flavor and freshness that really let it down. The service was equally subpar, as the staff seemed indifferent and inattentive. While the atmosphere was somewhat more pleasant, it still wasn’t enough to redeem the meal. Overall, I can’t recommend this place based on my experience.

We ordered a bbq sandwich with red slaw and fries, 2 bbq plates both with red slaw hush puppies, 1 with fries the other with potato salad, and then we ordered a grilled cheese with fries. By far the best red slaw I've ever had! Since our first visit we've been back a couple time to try a few different things...cheeseburger, chicken tenders, mac cheese the banana pudding! All have been very good! The service has always been great, even when they are packed! We love this place and the variety their menu offers since we have kids.

When I... read more No service got up and left went to China Grove Family Restaurant. Complained the owner was an unapologetic j But that’s ok I don’t have to ever go back. When I left drove 2 minutes up the road to China Grove Family restaurant and was seated and waited on like a actual customer. The food at China Grove Family Restaurant was excellent. I had the seafood platter. I highly suggest it and I highly suggest you avoid Sting Beans with the big redneck owner that is full of excuses and low on apologizes. Never again. Got me once and once only.

I had white sla... read more Tried Stringbeans while we were in town yesterday and the food and service were excellent! The bbq plate was huge and delicious (sides included! I had white slaw, green beans and hushpuppies) and the burgers were equally as good. My VERY picky 5 year old said her hamburger was great, which is huge coming from her! We came around 1:30 pm and the service was very quick! We will definitely be making the 30 minute drive from Mooresville on a regular basis to get yummy food again!

The home-cooked meals were rich with Southern flavors, and the comfort food felt like a warm embrace. We ordered two plates, but one would have easily sufficed—it was more than enough! The portions were quite generous.
