Contribute FeedbackOnce heralded as one of Lancaster’s best pubs, The Tap House has recently garnered a mix of reactions from patrons. While many appreciate its cozy atmosphere, diverse drink options, and friendly staff, others lament significant declines in service and quality. Issues like overpowering smoke odors, a lack of real ales, and disappointing live music volume have tarnished its reputation. Nonetheless, visitors still enjoy its traditional decor and an impressive selection of craft beers from local breweries. As a vibrant gathering spot, it offers a warm welcome, though its consistency remains a topic of contention for loyal fans.
A new addition to Lancaster good modern interior very comfortable. Good selection of beer quality ok service seemed good. Popularly viewed with...
Pleasant, modern and clean looking pub in Lancaster. We were tried with the name that seemed to point out a real ale mecca: there were five or six...
This USED to be one of the best pubs in Lancaster. I came in this evening, they 've absolutely ruined it. All the quirks, great beer and lively atmosphere have been stripped away, what 's left is a soul-less overpriced, awful shambles. The 'live ' music, is so loud you can 't hold a conversation, the beers are now very basic and every fond memory of what the tap House used to be, crashed and burned faster than the rancid pint I gave up on :
Great place.. First time I've been to the tap .. won't be the last
Good, though small, selection of beer but it's as friendly as ever and we were treated to some good music to go with the nice beer.
