We have eaten here on several occasions and the food and service are of a very high standard. The Morecambe bay shrimps are particularly good as they are served in warm butter- delicious. The produce is locally sourced and beautifully cooked. The dining rooms are very pleasantly decorated with lovely views of the canal and countryside. The hotel is dog friendly and if you have a dog you can eat in the bar area.Definitel... What Raychel999 doesn't like about The Mill At Conder Green:
Family of 4. Booked online. Restaurant very clean. Service was extremely slow. We appeared to be the only occupied table. Both waiters looked more interested in talking . rather than serving. Food arrived. Plates were stone cold, meat was cold roast dinner) and the vegetables were undercooked. It’s a shame as the meals were well seasoned and tasted beautiful but the whole experience was ruined by cold food. Do the wa... View all feedback.
This was for 2 graduation celebrations,we had never been before and it had beautiful surroundings. We all looked at menu and 6of is decided fish and chips but we're then told they were out of this.3 people then decided on £8.95 for 1fish cake and £5 chips, which was bland and disappointing except the tartare sauce. My husband had a hamburger and chips, which had no salad or vegetables but was ok,my daughter wasn't well but had a bland and pale soup. One person had chilli flatbread which was nice and enjoyed. The deserts were ok but not worth £8. There was 6 1/2 meals and 4 puddings at £165,service was good and often asked did we want any thing else.We will not be back as not impressed.
We had a family lunch gathering here to celebrate my 70th birthday. We have been before so knew it would be good. I think today they surpassed themselves. The staff were so friendly, efficient, helpful and professional. The food was so delicious and excellent and really good service too. The staff did everything they could to give us a wonderful celebration. Unfortunately the canal is currently closed but you can still walk alongside it, well normally but not on the day we visited as it was raining. I did manage to pop out in between downpours to see a swan with her signets and admire the view. We stayed quite a while just enjoying my birthday celebrations and no-one was rushing us to leave. I would recommend and will go an again when I can.
We were a walk in to this restaurant. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food was fantastic. Good choice. Excellent presentation. Very tasty.
3:49 ••ll 4G 10› • Draft saved The restaurant manager was so ignorant as we first approached the bar. The place was pretty empty so he could have been a bit more friendly. The food was very poor. My husband ordered fish and chips The fish was the smallest l've ever seen and the peas were rock hard. I just went for a prawn sandwich with fries. The Prawns were mushed up and no rose marie sauce. Stale bread and really off coleslaw. We were so hungry we ate most of it but should have said something. I did mention to the waitress that we were unhappy and she was lovey named Lara. Manager was stood next to waitress and was just giving me a dirty look. Really unprofessional he should have spoke us and apologized but no very arrogant. We will be telling all friends to avoid here. Shame because it's a beautiful location Title your review Bad food 8/120 max characters
The sun was shining and the food was great. Sat in the garden , the birds were singing and the beer was good. Lovely end to a busy week.
