In any case, don’t pay attention to the guy who gave a one-star review and is now in prison because he’s just a small keyboard warrior. I had an amazing experience from the start, especially when I tasted the Hoisin sauce – it was simply incredible! View all feedback.
What Inspire45443302180 doesn't like about The Golden Sunrise:
Can't think of anything positive, sweet and sour chicken went to the dogs. Greasy oily chow mein and very slow delivery. Sweet and sour sauce was in an expresso cup. Avoid! View all feedback.
We have not been for a while due to previous bad customer service but thought we would give it another try as a friend said they had improved, we will be having words with friend!!!. We all know that costs have increased, however everything on menu has increased in price by around 50%, a large portion of chips about £4.50 for example. So although costs to run these places are up, they are not increased by this amount. Continued anyway as family hungry and no time for other options, the food wasn't anything special, not something we will revisit at these prices, think they maybe heading for issues with reduction in custimers, it was no where near as busy as it usually is. Good luck but you are 1 customer down here, guessing many more will be avoiding also. Think they are not balancing the increased costs with loss of customers for a successful future.
Visited here a couple of times while on holiday in the area, once for Fish and Chips and once for Chinese. Both times the food was hot and very tasty, not badly priced either Staff friendly and greeted us with a smile We will be back
Treated with no respect, 3 crispy chunks in warmer, asking what they were was told they were crispy chicken balls, asked how much for the 3 to try and was basically told no you can’t buy them, can make more for a full potion, told a potion is 10 at £5.50, but who wants 7 nice fresh cooked ones with 3 cooked a while ago. Will be trying alternative establishment which is a shame as have been using for a few years.
Got a sausage and sum chips, the sausage was about 4 inches (i compared; . Was a bit soggy the sausage but i didn't mind. More of a chippy than a chinees, think they should make sushi. Also please do turkey dinosaurs for my 30 yo man-child pet, he still lives at home with mummy and dadda and isn't great at chewing.
The staff were not particularly friendly; they seemed quite indifferent to serving me. Interestingly, I did see one employee cheerfully jumping into his Ferrari while holding a bag of food for a local delivery. Despite the food being overpriced and served at a lukewarm temperature, I plan to return in the future, as they were generous enough to include a free bag with my order. As a side note, I genuinely enjoyed the long 8 hours and 16 minutes I spent waiting for my food in the takeaway area, while I wished they could invest in a chair or two for us less fortunate customers living in tents.
