While the city or the seafront may not have a magical atmosphere on a cloudy evening, the views over the bay make up for it. The hotel building is charming and I especially enjoyed the original art deco features. The staff was friendly and the food was excellent. The restaurant looked nice when we first arrived, but really came to life once we started eating. I would highly recommend this place to others.

Kim, who organized my reservation for the afternoon, was very efficient. She quickly answered all my questions and promptly confirmed everything via email. The staff were excellent and helped my friends decorate the room. Throughout the afternoon, the staff were attentive, polite, and helpful. The afternoon tea was delicious and served with plenty of tea and prosecco. We never felt rushed and had a wonderful time, with some of us even ending up at the bar afterwards. It was a fantastic experience. Thank you!

Eating here was excellent, but don't leave unless they eat very quickly. we went to meet some friends for afternoon tee and booked for when we arrived, we were... read more Eating here was excellent, but don't leave unless they eat very quickly. we went to meet some friends for afternoon tee and booked for when we arrived, we were told that we could only have the table until we had our...tee eating and talking when the waitress arrived with two kartons and the bill with we took this a very sharp indication that we packed all remaining cakes in the boxes and departed. the afternoon to finish the house, it just doesn't cut, especially after two years lock-in and lock-out. a friend of mine had exactly the same experience. we've been discussing the termines with employees in another hotel and said they'll allow two hours. we will find alternative places to meet our friends in future.
