Overwater Hall - Lancaster

Despite my usually high standards and picky preferences, I must say that the dining experience at Overwater Hall Restaurant truly impressed me. The beautiful atmosphere, expertly prepared and presented food (I enjoyed fish soup as a starter and trout for the main course, while my partner had quail and beef steak), and the excellent service and ambiance all contributed to a fantastic evening. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Our experience at Overwater Hall is like coming home, with a warm welcome from Stephen upon arrival. We stayed in room 7, which was spacious with a separate dressing area. Both dogs and their owners are welcomed with homemade treats provided by Adrian in the room. The four-course meal was excellent, paired with an extensive wine list. What more could you ask for?

Very few restaurants have ever earned a 5-star rating from me, but Overwater Hall is a well-deserved exception. My wife and I stayed at the hotel for 3 nights and dined here every evening. The menu had a great selection and everything was cooked perfectly. Unlike many other restaurants that focus too much on presentation, resulting in food being served lukewarm, all of our meals were served piping hot. The service was flawless and there was nothing to fault. I highly recommend it.

The food was delicious and was eaten in a lovely setting. The service was efficient and very welcoming.

Beautiful surroundings, beautiful food and first class service, nothing more to say! Defiantly worth a visit.
