The title says it all. Walk past the bigger chains with industrially produced ice cream and come here for a relatively small selection of excellent and authentic handmade Italian ice cream. Two scoops at 3.50 GBP seemed a bit pricey but was worth it. View all feedback.
What jessbR9081ZR doesn't like about Leonardini:
We had a voucher to spend and came for a coffee one afternoon. The home made macaroons were a bit stale.. the coffee was ok and milkshake was good but wouldn’t rush back. View all feedback.
Really nice fresh fruity sorbets. The shop owner was very friendly. Perfect for a hot summer day.
If I made an itinerary for someone spending one day in Lancaster this place would be on it. Genuine homemade gelato and cakes served in a very pleasant small cafe, most often by the lovely Italian gent who runs it. The lemon pie ice cream is very special but there is a good range to choose from, usually with a vegan option too. It is probably a bit on the pricey side but worth it for the genuine article.
This afternoon was my first ever visit to Leonardini’s and as a former resident of The Monte Parioli district in Roma I suddenly felt that I was back home. I ordered a cappuccino and it was simply the BEST cappuccino that I have tasted in the U.K. I will make this a regular stop on shopping trips in Lancaster from now on!
Delicious gelato and amazing coffee which comes with a little free cake good prices and a great deal for what you get
Great gelato and great ownership. I love it and i will come weekly to enjoy a nice dessert! No wonder they won the best Gelato of UK in 2017!
