What Angela H doesn't like about Cowan Bridge Tea Room:
We ordered cheese (and onion) toasties and a pot of tea for 3. The toastie didn’t come with onion we asked if this could be added. We were told this would be an extra charge! When they came the toastie did not appear to have any cheese inside it at all ! It tasted only of the onion. The tea was very weak it was a large pot for 3 with only 2 tea bags in it! I had to ask for another one. It was over priced and not valu... View all feedback.
Find absolutely amazing. first visit was breakfast and nothing is too much effort, especially for picky eating children. the second visit was for my 83-year-old mother's birthday. afternoon tea was great and the owner/the cheaters were nice to bring out a cupcake with candle. a visit she will always remember. Thank you.
We had a warm friendly greeting immediately and ordered a complete English breakfast and teekanne. eating was nice with a great cozy atmosphere. we'll call again. there are many local products to choose. good a pop in worth.
Fantastic tea rooms, great service and delicious food. the English breakfast (especially the mushrooms) and the scones were for to die! 100% recommended, we went to the lake district for a long weekend and we had breakfast there every day.
Stopped at lunch time for sandwiches and cake. We were not disappointed. Made welcome and served by friendly owner. Treated to freshly made meals. That good an experience we called again on our return three days later. If you are looking for a cosy, quaint place to stop this is a good choice.
Our favourite breakfast stop en route to Scotland. A little bit odd but just the spot for a full English and a pot of tea on the road before you hit the motorway.
