The closest you'll get to a fine-dining experience in this area. Expect fresh local ingredients and beer that is brewed in the region. Cozy atmosphere, but not stuffy, and bonus: formal attire is not required. Since the restaurant is along a canal walking trail, diners wore a range from hiking shoes to high-heels. This dinner was a standout dining experience on our trip to Lancashire. View all feedback.
The Mill Inn is a canalside pub and hotel at Conder Green near both Glasson Dock and Lancaster. It has 15 rooms however we visit it as pub customers when we're out and about on the canal. It has a lovely big beer garden, with a play area for kids, which is very popular on summer days. Inside it is airy, spacious and smartly furnished but with a relaxed atmosphere. Staff are always friendly and the well stocked bar has local Bowland beers on draught as well as a good selection of lagers and international beers such as Hoegaarden. It is a while since we have dined here and it may have changed hands in the meantime so I won't do a lengthy review on the food however we always enjoyed dining here. A quick glance at the menu when we were last in revealed reasonable prices with mains off the menu averaging £12, with the exception of steaks which naturally are more expensive. The food looked lovely and we shall definitely dine here again in the near future. Smashing pub, one of our favourites along the Lancaster canal!
