Complaints ranged from being turned away before closing time to incorrect orders and disappointing oyster preparation. However, many diners enjoyed the delicious food, with standout dishes like the bouillabaisse and steak moules frites. The atmosphere is praised for its cool vibe, and the desserts are highly recommended. Despite some issues with service and pricing, Bistro Barberet remains a popular choice for special occasions and fine dining in the area.
Best restaurant eat in a long, long time. a quibble. for a $16 sazarac cocktail, they should not have to pay anymore to update from jim beam rye to bulleit rye. they should already use bulleit! Many of their 14-$16 cocktails had an additional fee to upgrade to a middle spirit.
Celebrate our jubilee and service, eating and overall look was fabulous. our server was very friendly and attentive. the food...delish with a beautiful presentation. the cocktail has made fun with a good kiss. flat white and a French 72. naturally freshly baked bread. I had the Pasta Special and my man soup of the day and a crab cake. finished with cream bubble. we took some macrons after home that were a gift for us. it was great. very suggest reservations and go early to find parking.
When we had set ourselves, our waiter came by and recognized us and the special occasion we celebrated. he was attentive to our needs and eating was excellent!
Another wonderful dining experience! Bistro Barberet Is a hidden gem, tucked behind their fabulous bakery. Dined last evening to celebrate a friendâs birthday and had a delightful time. Our waitperson, Rosie was attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. Everyone loved their meals weâd highly recommend these more unique starters: Quenelle De Lyon, Saumon Fumé and the Crispy chicken Confit salad could be a meal by itself. All three were beautifully presented, nice sized portions and delicious! Three of the entrees were classics and amazing: Moules Frites, Steak Frites and Bouillabaisse du vieux port for the birthday guest of honor. I tried the Pan seared salmon with Crispy Brussel sprout, roasted apple in cider reduction, celery root puree fir the first time and loved it! The Scottish Salmon was cooked to perfection and I even ate the crispy skin which I normally donât do. Very nice! This is the fourth time weâve driven toLancaster from West Chester Pa to dine here sure beats going to downtown Philly and for us itâs equidistant timewise
Excellent food and great atmosphere. Staff was personable and very attentive
