The menu had a section specifically for vegan and vegetarian options, I got the vegan tacos and my bf got the vegan burrito, they were okay, I was not for their “vegan cheese” from just tofu, I think because it had no taste. What User doesn't like about Plaza Azteca:
I tried the vegan burrito and found it to be just okay. I couldn't help but feel envious of the non-vegan entrees my companions ordered, as they had a wider selection for the same price. My burrito was large but lacked any sides, making it a bit unexciting. However, the margaritas were delicious. View all feedback.

The restaurant offers a specific menu section for vegan and vegetarian options. I ordered the vegan tacos while my boyfriend got the vegan burrito. They were just okay - I wasn't a fan of the "vegan cheese" made from tofu as it lacked flavor. The side dishes were potato-based but also lacked taste. The atmosphere of the restaurant was enjoyable and I would consider returning for the lively ambiance and the tropical margarita. However, I believe they would benefit from incorporating non-vegan options. Overall, the restaurant was lovely and exceeded expectations compared to a typical Mexican restaurant like El Rodeo.
I ordered the vegetable fajitas and had them made vegan. The meal was served with complementary chips and salsa.
I ordered the vegan burrito at the restaurant and found it to be just okay. I felt a bit envious of my husband's non-vegan dish, as it offered a lot more variety for the same price. My burrito was quite large but came with no sides and overall, I didn't find it very interesting. However, I did enjoy the margaritas which were delicious.
The restaurant offered a special menu section for vegan and vegetarian options. I tried the vegan tacos while my boyfriend tried the vegan burrito. I found the "vegan cheese" made of tofu to be lacking in flavor. The potato filling also had little flavor. However, I did enjoy the beans, rice, and tropical margarita. I would consider returning to the restaurant for those items, but I recommend modifying a non-vegan order for a better experience. The restaurant was upscale and fancier than expected, a pleasant surprise compared to typical Mexican restaurants.
