Maize was excellent and we will definitely be back. Funny, I wish the service lasted a little longer. We ordered an appetizer and as soon as we finished, our dinner was out. I had no time to order a 2nd drink. We were there at 5:00 and we were done at 5:15. I'm sure it's not always the case, but we decided to stay back and have a 2nd drink, even though our meals were done. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Maize Mexican Cantina:
I'm still trying to be a fan of Maize. I visited a few times when it first opened, and the food was disappointing—bland and lacking flavor. I brought my family there on a Friday night, and we all agreed the dishes were just okay. My husband ordered the steak fajitas and remarked that there was no flavor at all. Trying to like Maize. I was there a few times when they opened and it wasn't great food blaming no taste Brought my family Friday night and it was unanimously everyone said their dishes were fine. My husband ordered Steak-Fajitas and said there was no taste, the guacamole we ordered was terrible I don't know how to mess with this, the only thing we really enjoyed was the churros for dessert. It was my husband for the first time and he said he would never be sad again. I wish the cook would go to Delaware to agave and see how great Mexican cuisine tastes.
The food and drinks were great, but the service was terrible. It took forever to get our drinks, did not come back for more than 20 minutes for our food order and we had to ask for water that never came, except we asked another server.
We met some friends for dinner. They let us stay for several hours since they were not super busy. I really appreciated that, a lot of restaurants make you leave as soon as you are finished. The food was excellent. Will be going back very soon!
Best Mexican food in the area. Very good value for quality food. The menu shows how a good chef knows how to keep things interesting. Also like that the decor is not a campy cliche of what a Mexican eatery is .
Food was horrible and took forever. Couldn’t even finish my quesadilla. How do you even mess up a quesadilla!!!!
