The waitresses were so sweet in helping me surprise my daughter on her birthday. They sang to her and were so helpful setting up the tables. This place is so friendly and nostalgic. Their food is tasty too! View all feedback.
What Isaiah Schulist doesn't like about Dj's Taste Of The 50's:
The food was not the best and it was fairly overpriced. The setting is cute, as it?s supposed to be retro. The staff was a bit rude during our visit, so that doesn?t encourage me to come back. While the surroundings are cute, they don?t have the best food or service. I would not recommend it here, as there are plenty of other diners to go to. View all feedback.
Ready to rock and roll in this 50 a themed diner. The layout has a 50s vibe with corresponding music for the period. Generous portion sizes and cheap prices. Try your omelette with cinnamon raisin bread. The bread alone is so good! You want to try something Amish? Order scrap with your meal. Loved the omelet and the short stack of chocolate chip pancakes. I wish they had a jukebox, but for the quality and quantity you get, it is worth the visit,
In short, this is a diner we'd probably try to visit again (maybe a little earlier in the day)... and we live about an hour away. Daughter had a vball tournament in the area we wanted to grab something to eat before trekking home. Found this diner fairly close by on Google. Besides the servers not exactly dressing the part, this small diner (probably less than 50 patrons) kinda brings you back to that era. Though no room for typical 50's booths, everything else seemed to fit comfortably. They even had fun pic opportunities outside to start bringing you back in time. We got there about 6 PM ish, waited for a table for 6 (2 adults 4 kiddos) for about 20 min, got our food about 6:45ish they started closing everything down at 6:55 sharp. I mean, signs were changing from open to closed any unused chairs were being turned upside down before 7 PM; even though over half the chairs were still occupied. So, besides feeling a bit rushed to get out (they gave us styrofoam cups instead of typical sunday cups others received for their desserts), servers were nice food was fantastic. We were the last ones out of their hair about 7:10ish.
Where to start? The music? The quaint decorations? The upbeat staff? The food?? Okay, we'll start with the good. Fresh-cooked to order. The most flavorful, juiciest burger I've had in a long time. The fries were outstanding and that dilly ranch sauce? I could drink it with a straw. Speaking of drinks... Two words for you. Chocolate Malt. I believe I swooned a little at my first sip. You have got to check this place out!
Very cool place to dinate. The decor was on the spot for the theme and the food was very good. People are very friendly and professional. Will you be dessert again??
What an amazing diner we stumbled upon! Absolutely loved the atmosphere. The service was great and the food was super yummy! The food came out very quick. We will definitely make the drive to come back again. Thanks, DJ?s!!!
