We dined at Characters and had an excellent experience, which led us to return repeatedly. Now, we typically visit once a week, and the food is consistently outstanding, complemented by a fantastic staff. We prefer to go early on weeknights since the weekends tend to be incredibly busy. It’s rare to see such a loyal clientele unless a place is truly exceptional, and Characters definitely is.

If your meal isn't prepared the way you wanted, they are more than happy to make it right. Plus, if you take a peek into the kitchen, you'll notice that it's one of the cleanest restaurant kitchens in Lancaster!

Do not tell the wait staff you will be splitting the meals they charge a $2 splitting fee so I had to pay $4 plus tax to get half a sandwich on each other's pla... read more Do not tell the wait staff you will be splitting the meals they charge a $2 splitting fee so I had to pay $4 plus tax to get half a sandwich on each other's plate! When I complained that they never told me there was a charge, they refused to take it off! Very rude!! We could have just handed each other half of the sandwich and saved $4.
