I will miss Bodgan! He was so dedicated to the Deli ; he treated it like'his baby'! Our family will miss his sweet smile, and his great congeniality! We have the same last name but spell differently but pronounce the same. His sweet wife told us where our name originated from a royal lineage! Happy retirement Bodgan! We will miss you greatly! Best of Europe is only best Deli in the AV!!!

I 've been going here for years and they have the most bomb sandwiches you 'll find here in the High Desert. The young folks working their are polite and professional. I believe most would say 'It 's a bit of a wait to get my sandwiches ' but I couldn 't disagree more. It 's a quality sandwich made with attention to detail and that takes a little longer than your everyday Subway sandwich. They have imported breads, pastries, desserts, drinks and meats from deli 's found only down the hill or in your hometown. It 's a definite, must stop, local joint if your passing through on Hwy 14 or Rte 138 for a great bite!

Go here every couple months to pick up a pound of some good meats like corned beef, pastrami, and pancetta (only place I know in the AV with pancetta). Their deli is all Boar's Head brand selections. A few classic European canned and jarred goods too, nice small place. Don't plan on sitting around here, more of a grab and go place

More than Excellent: I have been trying their fine food since I am was 11, and did not think it was extraordinary on some days since the food was simple and the sandwiches were expensive, but the Best of Europe food is definitely worth my money, matching the genuine quality now on.
