Forest Golf & Country Hotel

Breakfast is the best value I have recently experienced. I had the half chicken at dinner at the restaurant and my appetite was well rewarded. There was so much, I took more than half with me and shared it with hubby for lunch the next day. The swimming pool was large, clean, salt water and warm. The hotel is slowly being updated. The beds were comfortable and the atmosphere was very friendly. I will return again next summer for the stay and play deal. The golf was excellent.

We met a friend here for lunch and enjoyed a lovely panoramic view of the golf course through the large windows at our booth. We ordered salads, and when they arrived - 30 minutes later, they were good, but why so long? Inexcusable. The waitress, a young lady was embarrassed. The meal should have been comped.

Brunch food quality and selection was below acceptable anyway you slice it. I'll save the kitchen staff some embarrassment and not go into detail the short comings of the buffet and simply say I won't be eating here again. Service was okay but not great.

This place has everything you would want at a great value. An indoor pool is great after coming in from a round of golf.

We have been twice to the dinning room for dinner and on both occasions have been extremely pleased.The first time we had The Chicken Parmesan and the Pepercorn Steak simply delicous.The second time we had the daily special Ribs and Wings ,so enjoyable.I recommend the table in the corner surrounded by Windows the view is breath taking .Dont expect a huge check either the prices are very good ,the hotel looks very inviting also so maybe an overnight stay could be in order ,we have a summer cottage near by and am so glad to have found a restaurant that doesn't break the budget and has great food and excellent service.
