Description

Nestled by the Thames, this cozy pub offers a charming atmosphere that’s perfect for after-work drinks or a leisurely meal. While the location impresses with beautiful river views and ample seating, the food experience varies. Some dishes shine, like the signature burger and calamari, although vegetarian and gluten-free options leave much to be desired. Service is often highlighted as friendly and efficient, making it a welcoming spot for gatherings or events. Overall, it’s a delightful venue that promises a good time, albeit with some room for improvement in dietary accommodations and food consistency.

Positive aspects of the restaurant include its excellent location, attentive and helpful serving staff, and delicious food. However, a downside was that there was only one meat option for the Sunday Roast (beef). Additionally, although various levels of cooking were requested for the beef, they all arrived prepared the same way (medium well). The pricing of a medium-sized bottle of water at £5.25 was also perceived as excessive, even for London standards.

The restaurant offers excellent service and has a large interior with plenty of indoor seating options. The lunch menu is diverse, although it may be slightly expensive. However, the quality of the food is worth the price.

Terrible experience. The roast dinner I ordered was cold and the meat was tough, clearly sliced hours in advance. The Eton mess dessert was disappointing, consisting of just a bowl of whipped cream with half a strawberry.

Excellent place!

Nice setting on the river. Really disappointed that the menu couldn’t really cater for someone gluten free. The initial waiter wasn’t clear what gluten free meant, so got someone else who was really helpful I was just astounded that there was no indication of what was gluten free on the menu (instead I was given a large ring binder to cross reference it myself), there were only a couple of main courses that didn’t contain gluten, there was no possibility of substitutes like gluten free bread…. even the mashed potato had gluten in! I understand how hard it is to cater for all dietary requirements I’m just surprised that where there were dishes that you would imagine were naturally gluten free, they were not.
