Description
Knowdy's Fish and Chips presents a culinary experience that has stirred varied opinions among diners. While some rave about the generous portions and crispy, flavorful fish, others express disappointment in soggy batter and mishandled orders. Service can be hit or miss, with some patrons feeling overlooked or frustrated by unprofessional interactions. Notably, an incident involving an allergy scare highlights the importance of attentive service. Despite the inconsistent reviews, many agree that the chips remain a redeeming feature, suggesting that while the quality can vary, the potential for a satisfying dining experience is still worth exploring.

I visited this restaurant for lunch and had fish and chips, followed by a steak and kidney pie. The quality of all the food was excellent. I especially enjoyed the pie.
I recently visited Knowdy's Fish and Chips and ordered fish and chips with coleslaw for my elderly aunt. The young man accidentally put vinegar on the chips, but he quickly offered to replace them with new ones. As I was waiting, I saw his colleague remind him in their conversation about my request for no vinegar. When I started eating the chips, I noticed they had vinegar on them and my aunt started choking due to her allergy. It turns out they had given me the same chips with vinegar on them. Thankfully, my aunt is feeling a little better now, but I was not pleased with the mistake.
This has to be one of the worst fish and chips I have had in a long time. The batter was soggy and the fish was so soft it was almost inedible. The only saving grace were the chips, which were decent. I am giving it 2 stars only because of the chips. Hopefully this was just a one-off bad experience, as this place is usually quite expensive, especially for South West London.
