BYOB with no corkage is a huge plus, but bring your own pre-chilled wine rather than use the off license next door, and bring proper napkins. In theory the average bill should be about per person but only if every diner orders what they want rather than let the waiter assume control and orders more than you need. Diners beware though, because I've witnessed a growing trend for waiters to overcharge diners if they think they can get away with it. Such dishonesty is obviously easier to achieve with larger parties as it's harder to keep tabs, but recently there were only three of us so I noted down every item we'd ordered and it came to about When I asked for the bill the waiter simply quoted without giving me a bill so was perfectly happy to overcharge me by As I didn't want to spoil the evening for my guests, I paid, plus tip, but my advice is to keep tabs on expenditure whether in large party or small and if you suspect overcharging based on the waiter's initial quote, ask for ask for a written bill and if your suspicions are correct, and/or if the waiter is reluctant to produce a written bill, speak to management. Hot Stuff enjoys a well deserved reputation for good food, congeniality, and value so I wonder why they risk undermining all they have achieved by promoting such blatantly dishonest working practices ?
Best curry house in Europe. Just off the SW London highways, a quiet little row of shops with Hot Stuff's garish font tucked in the middle. Tiny place that gets busy, worth booking. iPod dock blaring out traditional Indian music slowly transitioning into dancier stuff by the end of the night. Load up on beers at the newsagents next door and then if it's your first time there's a huge free naan bread with ur name on it. (And the naan is brilliant, garlic and coriander, different to the regular bread u get but better) Let the chef pick our food for us: some incredible paneer, decent bhajis, amazing meats, fish madras was sick, Karahi chicken hit the spot. (Excuse the badly taken picture below, had to put in black and white coz it looked pretty sickening lol) Waiter is a top geezer too. Love this place, will definitely go back ??????
Great food and friendly staff. The best local eatery and very affordable too. Highly recommend.
Fantastic Value for Money. This is a really friendly Indian, without over doing it. Excellent value for money We booked as a table of 9, squeezed in, tucked into the standard menu for groups and were very pleasantly surprised. The BOY is a fantastic aspect of this. It kept a team night out down to an affordable, enjoyable evening. Fantastic find in the middle of London
