Booked here for lunch after a graduation ceremony, the service was lovely and the food was brilliant. I ordered the Steak Frites and was shocked at the large portion and the great quality of the steak for just £25! Will definitely be back in the future Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

I arranged a lunch for 42 people yesterday in the upstairs dining area. We pre ordered our meal from a set menu and everyone enjoyed the food. There was a bar upstairs that can be opened by prior arrangement. The staff were brilliant, nothing too much trouble. Martina was my contact there and I thoroughly recommend this venue.

This is NOT a French restaurant or a brasserie, it's a pub and a very good one at that. Service was slow but the place was packed and I was glad we'd booked a table. The food was definitely worth the wait. I had fish pie, fabulous!
