Saw a review that said their fish and chips were the best they ever tasted. My friend also vouched for how great it was so he and I checked it out. I concur, it is the best fish (substituted small Caesar salad for fries) and Caesar salad I ever tasted. Our waitress was also pleasant and courteous. Always delightful staff with gourmet cuisine at affordable prices. That's what youcall fine dining ! View all feedback.

Lovely lunch on the patio today. I had a really tasty beet and goat cheese salad. Presentation and flavour were excellent. I followed it with raspberry yogurt cheesecake. Lots of raspberries! Our server was very friendly and efficient. Lookingforward to the next visit.

The service was mediocre; we didn't receive any water refills, and the restaurant appeared to be understaffed. It was quite frustrating when a staff member came out to sort cutlery just two tables away from us, disrupting our dinner conversation with the noise of clattering utensils in plastic bins. The biggest letdown was the food. I was hoping for more authentic Greek options on the menu but decided to try the gyro anyway. Priced at around $20, my expectations were high, but I was deflated when the dish arrived. The gyro meat was clearly frozen or pre-packaged, lacking any homemade quality. It was by far the blandest and most disappointing gyro I've ever tasted. It came with a ridiculously small portion of fries—about 12—and a tiny, flavorless Greek salad that was mostly just lettuce. The only redeeming part of the meal was what my partner ordered—a beef roast dinner that featured a generous piece of meat and delightful side dishes, which I enjoyed during my sample bites. Unfortunately for Sweet Onion Bistro, I’m the one writing this review, and I felt completely ripped off by my dining experience. We won't be returning, which is unfortunate because the location is quite nice. I suggest you send whoever creates your menu or prepares your food to the summer Greek festival so they can learn what authentic Greek flavors are meant to be like.
I came across a review claiming that their fish and chips were the best ever. My friend also praised it, so we decided to check it out together. I have to agree, it was the best fish I've ever had (I opted for a small Caesar salad instead of fries) along with an excellent Caesar salad. Our waitress was friendly and attentive, making the experience even better. The staff was consistently delightful, and the gourmet dishes were offered at reasonable prices. Now that's what I call fine dining!
The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that there was no air conditioning. It was 30 degrees outside, and we chose to sit indoors for that reason, but it didn’t really help. We ended up feeling quite sweaty after our meal. Still, I would definitely eat there again! It would be great if you could get that AC sorted out—if the atmosphere matched the amazing service, food, and vibe, you would truly be a 5-star restaurant!
