The food was really delicious especially the Arroz Chaufa but we should have ordered less food as there was more than enough food for 2 people. The waiter looked a bit bored and slow. I hope the service will improve because that was the only negative point. View all feedback.
What Rodolfo doesn't like about Wa Lok:
Appalling! Strangely it has good ratings but the food and service are horrible. Very expensive and tasteless Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: PEN 30–40 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1 View all feedback.
It took over 20 minutes to get attention even though there weren’t more than 3 other tables. We could barely get the attention of Nicole, our waitress (I think her name was Nicole, another employee called her that when they had to tell her one of her 3 other tables was trying to get her attention). She is one of the rudest waitresses I’ve ever had. She rolled our eyes at us and we had to frantically wave her down for anything. We asked for agua sin gas and got agua con gas. We ordered beef stir fry and a chaufa. The stir fry was nothing special, pretty bland. The chaufa is the reason this place has 2 starts and not 1. It was tasty, but nothing to overrule the otherwise bland food, slow service, and rude waitress. We were there over 2 hours for two dishes. We had some decent chifa in arequipa. We are trying more Chifa in Lima, but if this is some of Lima’s best, I am seriously unimpressed.
I went there this Sunday after wondering round China Town, Barrio chino. This place was very crowded about 3 pm. Every meal that past me was hot and steaming. I thought this place had some great food. I tried the Noodles with beef, (Tallarín con carne de res) the meat was perfect, the veggies also were perfect! Great Flavor! I wish my hotel was closer so I could go again. Don't forget to wonder around the area some neat shops, and grocery stores.
Nice place, lousy service Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: PEN 70–80 Food: 2 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes: Camarones Con Tausi, Sopa Fuchifu

The star of the show was the roasted duck (in the menu they call it Peking duck). The skin was crisp and very aromatic, the meat was soft and full of flavors. Truly authentic Hong Kong style roasted duck, maybe even better than some places in HK. The chicken soup was very tasty full of umami. The chicken (breast) meat itself is surprisingly soft and the veggies are good too. The only reason that it doesn 't get the full 5 stars is their toilets which were super filthy. Given how good the food is and how nice the place is decorated, all that good impression almost got washed away in an instant enter opening their restroom door. The smell is so bad that I almost threw up my good food after a toilet visit. I really don 't understand why they don 't put more effort in making their restroom a little less unpleasant.
