We chose this restaurant mainly from a post on a travel board. We came with high hopes that will soon be extinguished. The steak was at best ok, which was much better than the service. I know it was the low season, but two people running the whole restaurant (Kok and waitress) was a joke. Sure to say that we will not return. It is nice to see that they do not use table numbers for the invoice, which we have been called “Gringos” on our invoice. They don't have wine and don't take cards.
I had a good experience there, but my partner didn't. I ordered a grilled chicken with salad and he ordered a meat (carne de res a la parrilla) but it was hard to eat and not really good taste. The Yucas they offered were fine, not much. The homemade wine was good, sweet. I guess I wouldn't come back.
Very good use. Chorizos (not the local version) are only ok. The Lomo-saltado and the Chonta (shrunk palm kernel) are really good. Overall very good place, careful with the bottle wine, due to the high trials it can be spoiled. There is a local version of wine, but is more a fermented juice than actual wine. But it's worth a taste. Do not forget to ask for the natural grape juice, it is great!
