Swanky place right on Lake Erie at the Carlyle. I had the walleye. It was pretty good. My son had the short ribs with mashed potatoes. The mashed were out of this world!! My sister had flat bread, which was actually a Margherita pizza, and a fattoush salad. Deviled eggs with caviar was our appetizer. For the high prices, we were expecting something more phenomenal. It wasn't bad at all, but for our picky palates, it... View all feedback.
What Angel C doesn't like about Summer Place:
Bartender Anna super rude. Argued with us. Rushed us. Didn't make us feel welcome. Not a people person. Made me seriously regret going. In and out in ten minutes. Would not recommend. Have had decent experiences previously but unfortunately sometimes it only takes one terrible time to turn you away from returning to a place. Again, don't recommend. View all feedback.
This is one the worst and most expensive experiences I’ve ever had in my life. We celebrated my birthday here, and they provide us with a “special” menu with fewer items. The price for each entree was $65, so we were expecting high-level cuisine. We ended up with a horrible and bland piece of salmon… some of them were were overcooked, some undercooked… a huge, tasteless, long greasy “short” rib and some mediocre salads. The dessert was a very ordinary piece of cheesecake and chocolate cake. Everything was disgusting, generic and cheap. The bill was exorbitant, and we were very disappointed with the food. The only thing good about this restaurant was the view because I can cook better myself at home. This place is a scam, and they need a chef because I doubt they have one right now. Please do NOT come with large groups or celebrate your birthday here. Their food is awful, and the service is mediocre as well. Go see the views of the lake somewhere else.
Had a beautiful brunch! 1st time there. Will definitely be back. Great food and service. So beautiful inside and out. Even the bathrooms were super nice and also spotless! Great views. Felt like I was on vacation! Can't wait to return!

We ordered the veggie omelet and short rib hash. Both dishes were flavorful, nice presentation and filling. A side of thick cut bacon was excellent. We also had coffee and mimosa’s, which were good. I’d also rate our service as excellent. Other than being a little pricey for brunch $75 for 2 people), you’ll get past that with the wonderful view of Lake Erie and downtown Cleveland. Highly recommend! We visited on Saturday 8/12 for brunch around 11am, but open by 10am I believe.Vegetarian options: Veggie omelet
Bartender was nice. Server was rude and food was mediocre. Bill came out to $300 and it was probably one of the worst dining experiences I've had in Lakewood. You're treated with more attention and respect at Taco Bell than this place. 5 stars for views but it's hard to enjoy a view when the service and food suck.
