Description
Nestled in a Northwoods small town, this family-run roadside bar and eatery is beloved for generous portions, standout Bloody Marys, a broad menu and a cozy outdoor patio with live entertainment. Patrons praise homey, satisfying bar-food classics and solid beer/drink offerings, though experiences vary: service can be slow or brusque when short-staffed and some dishes arrive greasy or inconsistent. I was staying in the area for 3 nights and due to how good it was the first night, I went back. Service was great, the girls hustle their butts off. Food was very good. Doesn't get better than this place.
I remember the food being great. This time the food was greasy and had little to no flavor. The waitress was the only one tending to tables and working the bar. She was absolutely rude and was hard to ask questions to without her giving a rude response. I will not be coming back.
10/10, my boyfriend and I absolutely love coming here! They have amazing loaded Bloody Marys, taco bowls, tacos, and sandwiches... honestly, I haven't had anything bad to eat. The service is quite good; I think they're a bit short-staffed, but if you have a little patience, you'll be perfectly fine. Highly recommend!!
Mulligan's offers both indoor and outdoor seating, and on the day we visited, there was live entertainment outside, adding to the vibrant atmosphere. The interior boasts a lengthy bar where many patrons were seen enjoying Pam's World Famous **** Marys. We didn't try them, but they certainly looked impressive and appeared to be a hit. The dining area has a mix of high-top and standard tables, perfect for different dining preferences. Our party of three each customized our own burgers, and I must say, they were all delicious — a definite highlight along with the waffle fries. Our server, Jordan, did an excellent job of ensuring our drinks were never empty, even with the large crowd. Overall, Mulligan's is definitely worth a visit!
We visited last Sunday, and it seemed like the restaurant was short-staffed. After being seated, we had to wait about 20 minutes before the waitress noticed us, prompting us to wave her down. I ordered a quesadilla and a water, but instead of a glass, I received a bottle of water, which I've never experienced at a restaurant before. I would have preferred a cup with ice. Our food arrived after a short wait, and it was just okay. The ends of the quesadilla were quite greasy, but the center was filled with delicious chicken, onions, and cheese. It came with sour cream and mild salsa. Overall, it was an average meal; the other dishes looked decent, and we did take some items to go. I did enjoy the cozy and inviting outdoor patio that they've built.
