Ivar's is outstanding! The service is friendly and quick. The restaurant is spacious, very clean, and cozy. The music is excellent as well. I particularly enjoyed the clam chowder. We always order the "Full Boat" special, which comes with 10 pieces of fish, fries, coleslaw, and mussels. We will definitely recommend and return again. View all feedback.
What Tim Kirby doesn't like about Ivar's:
The atmosphere at this restaurant is lively and enjoyable. The lighting over the tables could be improved by making it darker, and perhaps lightening the walls will enhance the overall ambiance. I am looking forward to seeing how this room will be transformed in the future. View all feedback.
I hadn't been to Ivar's in awhile and I just want to say, amazing experience! The food has always been great. We had the scallops, cod, coleslaw and clam chowder. Yummy as usual but what set this apart was the service, cleanliness and overall experience there today. Sarah greeted us and took our order and was so sweet and professional! Rodney, who was the manager, spent time in kitchen cooking, served food, checked on everybody and really cared. They are so nice there and such hard workers. They made my day!
The food is good and fast. The restaurant itself was clean and tidy, the staff friendly... And the Chowder makes you feel like all these 80s-sustainable makers claim you can only love.
I got the fish tacos and chowder. WoW!! Those tacos were amazing!! Chowder was the best. Yummy food! Update 2 nights in a row!! So so good
A fairly small and not too crowded environment with great food and amazing, friendly staff will come again highly recommend a stop by this establishment
Coming from Oregon back through to Bellingham had to stop for lunch what better place considering we no longer have one in town
