First time here, but will not be the last. Loved the atmosphere, food was amazing, and the margaritas are sooo good! Was a first date so a lot more chatting than ordering but the waiter was so great. Checked on us, but not pushy or trying to hurry us at all, which was appreciated. We both agreed the food was delicious and we'll definitely be back! The queso is the best I've had anywhere else in the area. This is mine and my boyfriends FAVORITE Mexican restaurant in the area. The food is beyond outstanding and so consistently amazing every single time we get it. The tacos are our favorite and the happy hour is such a deal. I find this place to be more consistent than Momocho. The margaritas are amazing. The service is also a huge reason we go. They have a spectacular food runner that deserves an all star award because he is so helpful and pleasant everytime we have gone, no matter the day. This is our go to and I heard that you are closing and I pray that isn't the case because I am tearing up writing this. It is our go to restaurant and truly, I would be so heartbroken to not have this place anymore.
I don’t even know where to start. Service was phenomenal to start and to finish. Food was amazing nothing short of amazing. The crème brûlée wow, an amazing finish. My first time visiting and certainly not my last. Thank you!
El Carnicero in Lakewood, Ohio, is an absolute gem! From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with a vibrant atmosphere and friendly staff. The food is simply outstanding – each dish bursts with flavor and creativity. Whether you're indulging in their mouthwatering tacos or sipping on one of their expertly crafted cocktails, every moment at El Carnicero is a culinary delight. Don't miss out on this incredible dining experience!
My husband and I come here often. It's one of our go to spots when we don't know where else to go for dinner. We love the guac selection and the food is always delicious. Our favorite is the barbacoa. They also have in-house hot sauce, which is fire ? (literally). Dietary restrictions: Great GF options!
First time at El Carnicero, I definitely would recommend this restaurant and would like to go again, the only criticism I have was the waitress, the menu is different and Even that I understand it was busy and probably understaff for the evening, I feel the waitress wasn 't very helpful, explaining the menu .. sometimes one doesn 't want to come across like an ignorant, for struggling with something as simple as chips salsa? The truth is the average person never have to choose salsa other than mild or hot, I asked the waitresses which one is the most traditional? And she told me depends what 's traditional for you without giving me any suggestions..I ask for a beer, she never came to check if I wanted another one, and the restaurant has a nice bar I 'm sure selling drinks is a most, so that can be improved, the food was delicious, the Guy who brought the food was very friendly, and the presentation was upscale.. the restaurant style is unique, and ambient very relax and laid back.
