Because the food does not... read more Tapatios Mexican Retaurant. I was a regular there for 16 years. But after covid, it seems like they lost sensitivity in their pallet. Because the food does not taste anything close to what it used to taste before. On top of that, they cut portions by about 50 percent and raised prices by about 30 percent. They lost a loyal customer that used to refer them to everyone I met.

I ordered the pick-two combo with a taco and an enchilada, and unfortunately, the chicken was bland and dry, and the taco meat had a strange taste. Although the server checked in on us and I mentioned my dissatisfaction, his attempt to rectify the situation by replacing my order with traditional tacos didn’t really help; they were still dry and lacking flavor. My husband even joked that the staff might have been complaining about me in Spanish because I caught them giving me disapproving looks from the bar as they chatted among themselves. I had high hopes for this place based on the reviews, especially since we love Mexican cuisine. It might be a good idea for the staff to keep their comments out of sight of customers. A little seasoning on the chicken and rice would go a long way!
