Absolutely the best sushi around! We’re more than happy to drive past the sushi spots in Brandon and Tampa just to come here. The General and his team are incredibly friendly, and the food is outstanding! I really appreciate the electronic ordering menu, which lets you see exactly what you're ordering. What User doesn't like about Sumo Sushi:
We have been coming here for years. This place went down hill after the renovation. We tried to come in tonight and waited for at least 10 min without any greeting. We walked out. Back when general was there he would greet everyone as they walked in the door and you would be seated within a minute. I had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant for lunch, and it was an outstanding experience! The food was exceptional, earning a solid 5 out of 5. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared and bursting with flavor. The service was equally impressive, with attentive and friendly staff that made us feel welcome throughout our meal — another 5 out of 5! Lastly, the atmosphere was delightful, creating a warm and inviting environment for enjoying lunch. Overall, I'd rate this restaurant a perfect 5 across the board, and I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience. The cost per person was between $20 and $30, which I found to be quite reasonable for the quality offered.

We had a great experience at this sushi restaurant in the past. Today, our family wanted to try the conveyor belt sushi for lunch, but when we arrived at 12:15 PM on Wednesday, the door was closed. We checked the business hours on Google and were left wondering if the restaurant has permanently closed. If that's the case, it’s really disappointing!
Loved this place so much, I would go usually every other week with friends and family, I drove there today with a friend to find that it was empty and gutted out, I thought this place got good business, so sad to see it gone it was definitely one of my favorite places to eat Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Always loved sumo! Definitely was always a favorite but it has been a about a year since I've been. I tried to get the same thing as always. It was wrong as is they don't have it or changed the name and in that I had to wait outside with my two kids, crying, waiting on order to be fixed and instead of giving the roll they mess up they throw it away and give no discount or anything after speaking with gm!!! Uhm okay! Very disappointed! Sushi lover but will definitely never have my business again. Fancy q all the way
