came for dinner with an employee for the first time, only on a limb. And I have to say this place is a diamond. The food was fresh and delicious. I ordered orange chicken and she ordered sesame. The orange is sweet as I love. Sesame was more savory. View all feedback.
What Tim P doesn't like about Peking House:
Three decades eating at Peking House. After our our last few takeout meals, the food quality precludes a positive review. We don 't eat in anymore because the service was inconsistent. It was fun when we had our wedding rehearsal dinner here in '91 but what happened? View all feedback.
The service here is consistently excellent, and the restaurant is always clean, including the bathrooms. All the food is great, except for the crab Rangoon, which has no crab in it. The owners are very friendly as well.
FAMILY FOOD ADVENTURE IN LAKELAND!!! Upon entering, the restaurant has a very antiquated appearance, which differs from what you would expect if they had modernized the decor. We ordered a variety of dishes, but honestly, none of them were particularly impressive. There wasn’t a single item that stood out or made me want to return. The value for the price wasn’t great either. While there were a few other tables occupied during our visit, the place was largely empty. The service was decent, but nothing exceptional. If this restaurant were to renovate, update their menu, and enhance their customer service, they could have potential. However, in its current state, it felt like a one-time experience for us. As always, give it a try for yourself!
I visited this restaurant for a late lunch/early dinner and found that there were only two other tables occupied. As a result, the service was quite quick given the low number of customers. The staff, including my server, were very friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, the food did not meet my expectations for Chinese cuisine. I ordered orange chicken with fried rice, but the orange chicken was lacking in flavor, and the fried rice was just average. Based on the disappointing taste and the outdated decor of the restaurant, I probably won’t return.
I stopped in for a late lunch and I was literally the only customer inside. I was told to choose any table and water was brought to me. I ordered an egg roll and shrimp lo mein. The egg roll came out quick and was piping hot. It was full of flavor and the plum sauce added an extra layer of flavor. The shrimp lo mein was missing some flavor. I added broccoli to the dish and the broccoli was cooked perfectly. The shrimp and noodles had no seasoning and I had to add quite a bit of soy sauce to get some flavor.
Quite place. Pretty good service. Food was good. I went with a friend. I had the beef and broccoli and she has the shrimp with lobster sauce. The serving sizes were ok. Not like most Chinese restaurants where you have enough for 3 on one plate. LOL
