Sometimes there is one thi... read more An aggravating experience. I ordered a salad which the description specifically says there are French fried onion rings on the salad. Sometimes there is one thing that completely sells you on item you were considering, and that was that one item. I gethome and there are no onion rings. Just lettuce, cheese tomato red onion and a very small amount of chicken for 12 dollars. Icalled up there to explain I was missing the onion rings (again, the main reason I wanted the salad) for the woman on the otherend to tell me it doesn?t come with it?. Ma?am, it?s on the menu description. ? well we don?t and haven?t done that in a longtime.? She also proceeded to tell me the owner knows and there are multiple items on the menu that have things in thedescription that do not come with the actual meal?. I?m sorry, but it is unacceptable to pay and not get what you order with noexplanation that there are missing items? it?s also unacceptable to have a staff tell a customer basically that they are wrongeven though the description says differently. After the mild back and forth all I got was an ?we?re sorry ma?am,? And that?s it.I will not be returning after such a disappointing, wilted and lacking salad and the conversation between the staff. I like toknow what I?m getting for my money.

The mac and cheese as well as the fried corn on the cob was excellent. To top all of this off, the server's were outstanding. Willdefinitely be back.

The staff here was excellent, providing great service that made me feel very welcome. I truly appreciated that aspect of my visit. 2. As for the food, it was a mixed bag. I opted for the brisket flat; I didn’t ask for the point, but in hindsight, I wish I had. I was informed that the flat portion I received came from a new brisket, which turned out to be the driest cut of brisket I've ever had. While it did have a hint of smokiness, there was a distinct lack of seasoning—so much so that I had to smother it in barbecue sauce to eat it. 3. The ribs, on the other hand, were cooked well and were nice and moist, but again, they suffered from a lack of seasoning and flavor. 4. The sides were the highlight of the meal, which is unfortunate to say. The coleslaw was quite impressive with its tangy sweetness, and the corn on the cob was delicious, coated in flavorful butter. I only wish the meat had tasted as good as the corn. The bread was just bread, but it was toasted properly. Overall, I don’t foresee making any special trips back to this restaurant, and based on this initial visit, I’m not inclined to return—even if I happen to be in the area. Maybe I'll give it another chance. I would have rated this place three stars, but thanks to the excellent customer service, I’ve bumped it up to four stars, and the atmosphere was pleasant too.
