Woody's B-q - Lake Wales

My family and I have been eating here for years and one of the main reasons we go is kind for her. their seasoned greens were to die! they were anyway. they have obviously changed this week. all their sides! I've ordered them extra before, but now I don't even want them as a side. no salt, spice, taste or anything, only bitter or tasteless side, which taste like sick home. I hope she changes her back. that was a great reason why we left.

Food was great and service.was excellent, UNTIL ....THE OWNER showed up! He was so rude and unprofessional. I knew more about his business and his employees than was EVER my business. Maybe it was because I was raised right, by a military vet, but MR., you praise in public and correct in private The whole atmosphere of the restaurant changed when he showed up. He has great employees, in spite of the way he acts in front of customers. Next time I go through Lake Wales from the other coast we won't be stopping at what used to be one of our favorites ?

Staff is friendly, yet something is lacking in the kitchen. Despite being the first item on the luncheon menu, baby back ribs were burned on the large end while the last three on the other end were quite chilly. And, please, what is on the floor beneath the table? One's shoes stick!

We asked for moist brisket but they weren't moist (dry), The Baby back ribs were good. Service was fast and good. Nice meal on our way but not a place to remember with very fond memories.

When we walked in the women at the door was very rude. Feet were sticking to the floors/carpets. Not very clean. Waitress was a sweetheart. She came to the table probably once to check on us which was probably a minus. Mac n cheese was good along with the onion rings. The rest of the food wasn’t good at all. The ribs were dry and tough. The bread for the sandwich was hard as a rock. The shrimp was hard as a rock. Definitely needs higher ups to notice what is going on here
