J P's Pub
Description
**A Mixed Bag at JP's Pub: Highs and Lows in a Classic Tavern Setting**
JP's Pub embodies the charm of a family-owned establishment, celebrated for its inviting atmosphere and friendly service. Diners can explore a wide-ranging menu that includes well-crafted burgers, delicious fried shrimp, and praised chicken finger subs. However, experiences can vary significantly; while some patrons rave about the food and engage with attentive staff, others report encounters with disruptive behavior and lackluster dishes. Despite the inconsistencies, many appreciate the welcoming tavern vibe and reasonable prices. Whether seeking a hearty meal or a casual drink, JP's Pub remains a local favorite, albeit with room for improvement.

I attended a banquet at this restaurant, and I found it to be overpriced for the pizza, appetizers, and salad offered. The food was mediocre at best, and I wouldn't recommend this place.
JP's never fails to impress. The food is excellent, and the service is top-notch. Kate and Joe are fantastic bartenders!
The experience can best be described as chaotic. We arrived on a Thursday at 5:30 PM and were greeted by an extremely inebriated man loudly arguing about politics with an equally drunk woman. Shortly after, the man left, and the woman stumbled to the bathroom, loudly collapsing to the floor. The bartender noticed her but still served her another drink when she returned. There was also another man with her who kept insisting, "She's fine." Aside from the drunken antics, the food was disappointingly bland. I ordered the beer-battered shrimp, which clearly came from the freezer, and the only flavor in the batter was the taste of burnt fryer oil. The coleslaw was practically soup, and I’ve had better mashed potatoes in a school cafeteria. We ordered our burger medium, but it came out well-done and cold. The fries were decent, but at that point, it hardly mattered. There are plenty of better dining options in the area that offer more value for your money.
A family owned business (40 years) that has good food at great prices. The wait staff (sometimes one of the family) is efficient and very friendly. I went with three friends, two had sub sandwiches, one had an asparagus salad and I had to try the "famous "Reuben. All were of good quality and quantity. Decent number of beers on tap, with a mixture of craft and mass-market beers atreasonable prices. Atmosphere is like an old-time tavern, nothing fancy but very comfortable place to have a meal or just hangout and watch a game.
