A terrific addition to the High Peaks Info Center is this small restaurant! You can eat on their patio, or get food to go. its purpose is to serve hungry hikers, either before or after a day (or less) of hiking. As such, it offers sandwiches, full meals, sides, a variety of drink option from hot cocoa to beer. To start, when checking out they boldly asked if I would like to leave a 15% or 20% tip for my order. This place does not give full service like a restaurant, you just order and then go pick it up at the window. It was a little off putting that they would just make those the two options.
