Cottage Cafe - LAKE PLACID

The Montreal sandwich was incredibly tasty, and the outdoor terrace offered a stunning view of the lake. I highly recommend this spot to anyone visiting Placid Lake!

My husband and I were on our honeymoon in Lake Placid, and a friend recommended this restaurant to us. We shared the buffalo chicken dip and the chef's selection of cured meat flatbread, and both dishes were absolutely delicious! The bathroom was surprisingly spacious, and we were delighted to be served warm bread and corn chips, which was a nice touch. The flatbread was made with fresh ingredients, perfect for one serving. We had a table right on the lower terrace, just steps away from the water, providing us with a stunning view! I thought it was neat that people could row their boats to the dock, grab a bite to eat, and enjoy the atmosphere. We will definitely return when we're back in Lake Placid!

This is truly the best place for a delicious cocktail, a snack, or dinner. The food is fantastic, and the staff is incredibly dedicated to providing excellent customer service. I’d love to get the recipe for the top sirloin on Shibata bread—perhaps they would be generous enough to share it!

Very recommended and not disappointed! Had the avocado/tomato caprese salad with chicken. The balsamikum and olive oil were wonderful and not ready. The tomatoes and avocado were on the spot! Great food and very friendly atmosphere. Come on!

Excellent location at the end of 'The strip ' of Main Street. This provides an amazing view of the lake looking back at the town of Lake Placid. The food was excellent. Hand made, crafted with care beyond a simple Sysco, mass produced meal. Cute, cozy and inviting. Well worth a visit when in town.
