What Michael Marcero doesn't like about Darrel's Steak And Seafood:
My wife attended this restaurant with some girlfriends and ordered the ribeye with their peppercorn sauce and brought me home some to try as she loved the sauce but was disgusted by the taste of the steak. I took one bite and that was enough, not only was the steak not cooked to her order but lacked seasoning not to mention the amount of gristle throughout the steak. Ribeyes are suppose to be fatty but not so chewy t... View all feedback.
Excellent culinary experience. Bryan, our waiter was top-notch! At the first meal here we expected at least decent food and were pleasantly surprised with excellent food and service. We ordered steaks, crispy duck, fillet, Brussels sprouts, shrimp cocktail and sampi, syrup tips, salads, soup and baked potatoes, everything was cooked properly and deliciously. Menu is basically Italian steak and seafood with a Louisiana twist that they take off quite well. I will definitely visit this facility as I know what it is about. The only negative of the meal was that the beverage service was a little slow, but not surprisingly on a busy Saturday night.
Amazing! We left well satisfied and stuffed!! We ordered the stuffed mushrooms and they were the best I have had, ever!! The grab cakes were hot, fresh and moist. Perfect meal! My husband had the Louisiana seafood bowl and he couldn't say enough good things about it! But the star of the night was the steak and potato soup. Wow! Its more of a thick stew than a soup but it is absolutely wonderful!! You've gotta try it! A shout out to our server Ann, great job taking care of us. We'll be back!
Birthday dinner for my wife. Large group, maybe a dozen of us so service was understandably slow. Being my first time there I went with a steak house staple, the NY strip. I ordered it medium rare and it came mid well. Although it was more done than I wanted it was still tender and flavorful. I would go there again, they have a diverse menu. Also, I would recommend the Bonanza if you like cab.
Came here for the first time with my family; had a group of 4. It was around 5:30 and we did not have to wait to be seated even though their reservations were booked. Our service was decent and the food quality was overall decent. Wait times with food and drinks seemed to take a little longer than normal but I was informed beforehand that they were short staffed. That being said, I think the overall experience was great being that they were short staffed. The one complaint I have is that I ordered the Scampi Style steak add on at $7 for ?jumbo shrimp?. I only received two prices of smaller shrimp and it didn?t seem to make sense for the price. Other than that, I would recommend this place if you?re looking for a quality steak and/or seafood dish.
AMAZING! Both the hosts and the servers were super polite and welcoming, we had ordered the Roasted zartloin Tips and the Lobster and Shrimp Tortellacci we definitely recommend. The cheesecake is also a must.
