Bitter Tom's Distillery - Lake Orion

We visited on a Sunday around 12:30pm. Was pleasantly surprised by how cool the place looked and the ambiance of the outdoor seating. Extensive cocktail list, my husband opted for the bourbon blueberry drink that the server said was the special; it was good. I order the **** Mary; it was unfortunately not good. It tasted exactly as a tall glass of nothing but Taco Bell sauce would taste like. I’ve ordered them for years, and this was by far the worst. I tried to power through it but it was just undrinkable. The server who was very young and seemed new, was apologetic and I went with a sparking white wine instead which was great. She indicated that the **** Mary was the most returned drink there. I can see why, yikes. My husband ordered the steak frites and truffle fries which were both very good. I ordered the maple glazed salmon which was not very good. It was extremely charred and I couldn’t taste any glaze whatsoever as it just tasted like very very burnt salmon. We would definitely try again as we enjoyed the atmosphere and my husbands items were good overall.

Delicious cocktails and food. Loved listening to the water flowing outside. Server Hannah was AMAZING! Will definitely be back!

The part that wasn’t burnt was pretty good for take out but was disappointed when I took a bite and it tasted like charcoal from how burnt the rest of the sandwich was

The service was fabulous. The atmosphere was great. The food was questionable. The feta and spinach dip is amazing. But who on earth puts raw brussel sprouts and kale on a taco. I was caught off guard to say the least ?

Great restaurant with an awesome selection of drinks coupled with some yummy food. Wonderful spot to meet up with friends and enjoy some time together!
