Dinner was not included in our booking and it was at the top end of our usual price range. What Dahlia Crooks doesn't like about Dining At Port Cunnington:
Maybe it was the size of our group, 15. The ordered steak as one of the choices. almost everyone who ordered it rarely. the orders came to the wrong people when the orders came back, the kitchen did nothing. the chef might have been. in a snuck. independent of this it was not a good experience and I would not recommend it. I recently dined at this restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed their 3 course dinner feature. I ordered the Prime Rib, which was excellent, while my wife opted for the chicken dish, which she really enjoyed. The dessert options were also top-notch. The staff provided excellent service, and the atmosphere and view were both delightful.
We booked the entire resort for a wedding. All the guests said, Best.Wedding.Ever. Food was outstanding. The 3 day wedding on the lake was absolutely wonderful, accommodations were superb. We could find NO fault whatsoever. Angela, the wedding planner, was so accommodating to everything the...bride and groom wanted in place.
Dinner at Port Cunnington Lodge is one of the things we love to do while we are at the cottage. The food is always wonderful and the atmosphere is amazing. They are able to retain the relaxing cottage experience with everything updated while allowing your...mind to take a step back in time. A leisurely dinner in the dining room whether on regular nights or buffet night is always a pleasant experience. I visited there for a private event yesterday at lunch time and was delighted with the food. I am looking forward to next Thursday's celebration of their 125th Anniversary and we will be booking for dinner again soon.
Although dinner wasn't originally included in our booking and was on the more expensive side for us, we decided to dine at the restaurant during our recent overnight stay. We were both pleased with our decision as the dinner was exceptional, with friendly and professional service. The set menu offered a variety of options and everything we ordered was perfectly cooked and served hot. Families with children seemed to be well catered for with a kids' menu available. We also noticed a couple enjoying a special evening out, so I would recommend this restaurant for both family dining and romantic date nights.
The dining experience is excellent. It can get quite busy on weekends, but they are able to accommodate everyone according to the rules. The service is friendly. It's a fun experience arriving by boat, but the restaurant is also easily accessible by car.
