Had an absolutely wonderful stay in a one bedroom loft with two of my friends! It was clean and cozy! We will be returning again and hopefully be able to check it out in the summer months as well. They were accommodating with our checking in early, and the wifi was pretty non existent but isn't that the point of disconnecting? We loved hearing the train in the distance as well!! This place is called Baker Creek Mount... View all feedback.
Honestly, this place was fantastic. My friend and I initially planned to return to Banff for lunch, but since it was a holiday, we anticipated it would be crowded. While driving down the Bow Valley Parkway, we stumbled upon this restaurant. After experiencing our fair share of terrible dining options, we were pleasantly surprised by this one. I ordered the flatbread with ham, and my friend chose the souvlaki wrap. Both dishes were delightful. My flatbread was packed with flavor, even though I requested no tomatoes or olives. The fries were also perfectly crispy. I would definitely come back!
While driving around, we discovered this charming restaurant. It's a delightful spot, and we were surprised to find it quite empty during our visit. We all ordered hamburgers with fries, and they were delicious. I highly recommend checking this place out. I'm definitely considering it for a future stay; the cabins are adorable. The food was tasty, and the service was efficient and friendly. This place is truly worth your time and money. We would gladly return.
I had a fantastic stay in a one-bedroom loft with two friends! The place was clean and cozy. We'll definitely be returning, and we're hoping to check it out in the summer months too. They were very accommodating with our early check-in, although the Wi-Fi was a bit weak—but isn't that part of the experience of disconnecting? We also enjoyed hearing the distant train! By the way, the resort is now called Baker Creek Mountain Resort, so it might be worth updating that information.
I was quite disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. We were staying at the cabins and decided to dine here, expecting reasonable prices given that it was labeled a 'bistro' and had two stars on Yelp. However, we were taken aback by a menu featuring meals averaging between $37 and $55, and unfortunately, the quality of the food did not meet our expectations. In our group of five, everyone felt that their meal fell short considering the high prices, and the portion sizes were quite small. While they might be suitable for a fine dining restaurant, as cabin guests with no other dining options nearby, it was really disappointing to leave feeling unsatisfied and having paid a premium for mediocre food. I would typically rate this restaurant a 2, but I’m giving it a 1 in hopes that the overall rating reflects how we truly felt about our experience.
The food was incredible! Our server had a great sense of humor, which added to the experience. The decor had a charming rustic vibe. It's definitely worth the short drive outside of town, I assure you!
